Internet service slows down due to technical glitch

Internet users in Bangladesh have been experiencing slow speeds since Tuesday evening due to a technical glitch in optical fibres of the International Terrestrial Cable (ITC). “Internet service slowed down in the country as cables of ITC Fibre @ Home Ltd and Summit Communications were cut near Benapole,” said Emdadul Haque, general secretary of the Internet Service Providers of Bangladesh. “Those who have bandwidth backups are not facing any problem,” he said, adding that it would take three more hours for the situation to return to normal. This article was first published on banglatribune.com
