A number of netizens posted the issues they were facing on different social media.   Rumors about the site being hacked have gained a lot of traction in social media.

When contacted, Bangladesh Telecommunications Company Limited (BTCL) Director Meer Mohammad Morshed told the Dhaka Tribune: "We have solved the problem immediately after noticing it." Ensuring the domain site was not hacked, Meer said: “Now, google.com.bd is fully operational.” An IT expert told the Dhaka Tribune that the problem could have surfaced due to “DNS cache poisoning” – a type of attack that exploits vulnerabilities in the domain name system (DNS) to divert internet traffic from legitimate servers towards fake ones.
