Dhaka-based wellness platform The Flow Fest will host its annual two-day wellness event, Summer Flow 2026, at the Gulshan Shooting Club on August 21–22.
The event will combine medical diagnostics, wellness practices, and community programs structured around eight core pillars: movement, mindfulness, creativity, connection, nutrition, rest, gratitude, and purpose.
Attendees will begin with an initial diagnostic assessment to determine personalized health scores across these pillars.
The entire festival will operate under a strict eco-friendly framework with a complete prohibition on single-use plastics, PVC materials, and meat products on-site.
On-site services will include clinical body assessments—such as blood sugar testing, bone density scans, skin analysis, walking gait evaluations, and vaccinations—alongside traditional practices including yoga, breathwork, meditation, and ayurveda.
Certified healthcare professionals will provide personalized nutrition plans and administer routine vaccinations.
The festival schedule includes several key public features:
- Hatirjheel Fun Run: A 7.5 km run on Friday morning featuring a mobile live DJ.
- Social Programs: Facilitated "Speed Friending" sessions designed to encourage community connection.
- Performances and Workshops: Live musical sets by The Dhaka Collective, art healing sessions, a book launch, and dance workshops spanning classical Bharatanatyam, salsa, and Zumba.
Facilitators will conduct sessions in martial arts, boxing, high-intensity interval training (HIIT), cardio, and diverse dance styles including classical Bharatanatyam, salsa, and Zumba.
"Give people permission to move, create, and connect in the same room, and watch how fast the walls come down," said Shazia Omar, founder of The Flow Fest.
