Loosemonkies.com, a pioneering new job portal, was launched on August 28 at Ruposhi Bangla Hotel.
Loosemonkies aims to revolutionise the recruitment process for the local HR industry. It is a website built to bridge the gap between job seekers and recruiters. IT experts from North America and Bangladesh have developed the portal over 2 years aiming to create a job site that provides “scientific” solution through a patented and “intelligent” algorithm to make headhunting more meaningful.
In his speech, Nadimur Rahman, CEO of Loosemonkies.com contemplated the painstakingly lengthy process which he had to go through to sort the right candidates from hundreds of applications for just two job vacancies. He found applications from candidates whose qualifications did not even remotely relate to the jobs’ requirements. As a result he lost countless hours and effort to select the best two out of the hundreds that applied.
This inspired him to come up with a solution that would save time and resources of an employer in finding the right match for the right job and also provide jobseekers information about their compatibility with a job.
A live demonstration of the website’s distinctive features was presented from both seekers’ and providers’ perspectives, following the official launching of the site by chief guests Aly Zaker, Chairman of Asiatic 3Sixty and Syeda Yasmin, Vice President, BSHRM.
With the use of interactive features like "provider engagement,” Loosemonkies.com provides job applicants the opportunity to chat with employers in real time. It is also the first job portal in the world that shows the rank of a candidate against all other applicants who have applied. Matching analytical features automatically matches the applicant’s profile with the most suitable jobs present in the database which helps candidates know which job they are suitable for.
Recruiters using the site are empowered with “matching analytics” technology that automatically matches the criteria that the employer is looking for with the qualification of each applicant. The site also enables team recruitment environment where several users who are listed as providers can collaborate to jointly assess candidates. Through “Passive Seeker Access” employers are notified of registered seekers on the site who have not applied but are nonetheless the best match for the job.
Instant notifications are sent to seekers whenever a registered recruiter views the candidate’s profile or makes him/her a “favourite.” This eliminates the uncertainty faced by candidates about whether or not their resumes have been viewed by the providers.
The revolutionary website has been internationally acclaimed. Nadimur Rahman said that the Summit Organization has selected it as one of the “most promising startups for 2013.” He added that the site will be launched in North America in October.
Nadimur Rahman mentioned in his speech: “We chose Bangladesh as the first place for launching Loosemonkies.com because we want to serve our community first and foremost and be the agent of change for the HR industry.”
Other than the chief guests, the launching was attended by Nadimur Rahman, CEO, Jamal Shah and Intezar Ahmed, directors, Amar Magon, CMO and Faria Samreen Nizam, Head of Marketing and Sales, Loosemonkies.com. Philip Morris International, City Bank, Bank Asia and Marico were some of the companies which attended the event.
In her speech, Syeda Yasmin acknowledged: “The job market of Bangladesh had been facing the monotony of traditional ways of applications and hiring process.”
Aly Zaker said: “The job sector of Bangladesh is up for a revolution; a revolution of meeting and matching the needs of both job seekers and providers.”
In answering Dhaka Tribune’s question about how it changes the traditional recruitment process, Nadimur Rahman said that the website is a “tool” for HR managers to make the process of headhunting more efficient and companies and job applicants across the globe will benefit from the innovative technology used by the site for smart headhunting.
Loosemonkies.com sets the tone for “modern and smart recruitment” where job seekers can “headhunt for themselves.”
