Businessman Hashem Ali, also former chairman of Dhaka's Dohar Upazila Parishad, passed away in Dhaka yesterday. He was 95.
He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at the Square Hospital in Dhaka around 4pm, said party insiders.
He is survived by his wife, two daughters, and two sons and a host of friends and relatives to mourn his death.
Hashem was also the brother-in-law to former president Zillur Rahman.
