Happy people sleep 7 hours

The secret to happiness might just be the number of hours we spend sleeping, reports USA Today. According to a recent survey of 2,000 people conducted by Amerisleep, a mattress selling company, people who are “perfectly happy” get 7.1 hours of sleep. "Mostly happy" people sleep for 7 hours and "somewhat happy" people sleep for 6.9 hours, the study further shows. Not surprisingly, the unhappiest were those who got the fewest hours of sleep - less than 6.8 hours. Women reported getting the least amount of sleep among the surveyed people. “Less than 6.8 hours of sleep meant unhappy relationships, constant anxiety and dissatisfaction at life,” the report states. The survey also found that those who are 25 or younger, regardless of their happiness level, sleep for long hours. Single people reported getting the most hours while separated people reported getting the least amount of sleep.
