Three Bangladeshi students have won the Social Venture Challenge (SVC) competition at the 66th edition conference of Harvard National Model United Nations (HNMUN).
Mahamudul Hassan Tonmoy from Independent University, Bangladesh, Ridwanul Arefin Arnob from Bangladesh University of Professionals, and Sadman Sakib from Islamic University of Technology presented their project “Cure” in the SVC competition.
Mahamudul Hassan Tonmoy was present at the conference held at Harvard University in USA for representing project.
The challenge was jointly organized by Harvard University and Resolution Project. This conference remains the oldest, largest, and most prestigious collegiate Model United Nations conference globally.
Social Venture Challenge (SVC) is a business plan-style competition designed to inspire university students to propose solutions to pressing social issues around the world.
Resolution project jointly host the SVCs in partnership with the universities and youth conferences that attract talented and idealistic young leaders. They invited those young leaders to submit their projects.
Among these, They selected top projects to present them in front of a panel of expert judges. After 3 days of intense evaluation finally they announced Bangladesh’s project “Cure” as the winner.
As the winner Cure is getting a lifetime Resolution Fellowship. In this fellowship, Cure will be advised in numerous fields to become a successful venture.
Project "Cure"
Cure is a healthcare software which will connect the doctors with the patient. Patient can share their problem and doctors will prescribe according to that remotely.
Moreover, the patient will be delivered medicine at home. There will be no need to go to the Diagnostic Centre for report, the report will be uploaded directly through the app. Patients and doctors, both will see the report.
In addition, information about the patient's problems, medications, tests - everything will be stored in the app. Only after seeing once the doctor can know the medical history of the patient. Project "Cure" is basically a one stop health solution.
Mahamudul Hassan Tonmoy said: “Representing Bangladesh in a international platform is truly a proud moment for us. A total of 2000 delegates from around 60 different countries were present, and it was a wonderful environment and experience.
"When we proved them that Bangladesh is one of the best, the moment was truly memorable."
