Visiting as a Unicef goodwill ambassador, Hadid went to Jamtoli to look at the primary healthcare services given at the refugee camp.
The model posted photos of her visit on her Instagram and Twitter accounts, where she stated that around 1.3 million refugees living in the camps are currently in need of humanitarian assistance.

She further expressed her grief saying more than half of the refugees are children.
Gigi’s Instagram post also mentions that from January-July of this year, Unicef has enrolled 91,929 refugee children in emergency non-formal education, trained 2,762 teachers to support improved learning for refugee children, and provided 146,670 refugee and host community children with psychosocial activities and gender-based violence services.
Furthermore, Unicef reached over 900,000 people with the Penta 3 vaccine, protecting them from life-threatening illnesses like diphtheria and pertussis, Hadid further mentioned in her Instagram post.
The 21-year-old supermodel was awarded Model of the Year at The Fashion Awards 2016.
