Nicki Minaj and her fans bully a writer online

Rapper Nicki Minaj has been on the news for bullying a woman on Twitter. A music and culture writer named Wanna Thompson expressed her opinions on the social media platform about Nicki’s music and suggested her to take a new direction.

Wanna wrote, “You know how dope it would be, if Nicki put out mature contents? No silly shit. Just reflecting on past relationships, being a boss, hardships etc. She is touching 40 soon, a new direction is needed.”

It was not a personal attack, rather a suggestion from a cultural writer to the singer. But apparently, the singer did not take the suggestion lightly and insulted the writer in a private message laced with profanities.

Nicki also called the writer “ugly” and “old”. She also said Wanna was jealous of Nicki’s wealth, intelligence, and beauty.

When Wanna released the message online, Nicki’s fans posted hateful comments and threatened the writer as well. Eventually, the writer was fired  from KarenCivil.com which has a working relationship with Nicki Minaj.

Nicki is known for her inappropriate comments about women and her contradictory lyrics. Previously, the singer faced backlash on social media for her insensitive comments about sex workers and prostitutes.

The billboard top chart singer is expected to release her fourth studio album, “Queen” on August 10.
