There are many organizations in Bangladesh who are working with children regarding hygiene awareness. Among them, Dettol is creating awareness by conducting hand wash activations in schools.
Dettol has already started working in the Natore and Rajshahi areas. In April, it spread awareness in Khulna and Chittagong by conducting training for underprivileged children. In the hope of creating a clean Bangladesh, the Dettol family appeared in Rajshahi schools with the slogan “The first phase of health, clean and hygienic hands”, with the message of purity in childhood.
Apart from this, in mid-April it conducted a training of school children on cleanliness, to spread awareness in different regions of the country.
Prof Mohammad Abul Khayer of the Department of Secondary and Higher Education (MAUSHI) said: “Parents should be more conscious about their children's health awareness and keep them healthy. From childhood, they should practice habits such as washing hands before eating, keeping nails clean, brushing teeth at night, etc. A teacher can play an important role in spreading awareness outside the family. It is very important to teach these things at school too. The initiative taken by Dettol is quite praiseworthy. Through this, students are getting basic education on cleanliness, which I think will help a student to develop a healthy future”.
Children are important assets of society, who will lead the country in the future. It is necessary to ensure their good health. It should be a priority for children of the society to be well trained in maintaining their health and hygiene and fitness.
