Popular onscreen couple Suborna Mustafa and Afzal Hossain are pairing up for the Eid drama “Nurul Alamer Biye.” This is a rare treat for their fans, as the silver screen duo is seldom seen together in recent times.
Written by Badrul Anam Saud and directed by Arif Khan, the drama will feature Suborna as a matchmaker and Afzal depicting a widower who’s looking to remarry.
Director Saud said: “Nurul Alam has been a widower for a long time. Both of his sons live abroad. Even though he needs a partner, he can’t express his longing as he is rather old.”
The plot thickens when his son pays him a visit and suggests he should get married, he suppresses his delight and tells his son that he’ll think about it. Nurul Alam finds himself the best matchmaker (Suborna) in town. The two scour Dhaka in search of the perfect wife, but no one seems to hold up to Nurul’s unnaturally high standards.
“Nurul Alamer Biye” will air on ATN Bangla on the second day of Eid at 8:30pm.
