Popular actor Purnima is apparently set to replace Badhon in Jaaz Multimedia’s upcoming film “Dohon.”
After the shooting was rescheduled, Badhon had to drop out from the cast as she has some personal engagements to attend to after June 5. Jaaz officials also confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
The filming of movie was initially slated to start from May 10, but was pushed back for the delay in receiving shooting permits.
Badhon said: “I have been preparing for this film for a long time. I did not even work on Eid dramas to use the time to prepare myself. But I had to give up the role for the change in schedule.”
Meanwhile, talks are already underway to pick Purnima as her replacement.
Purnima said primary round of talks with the movie’s producers has already taken place, but she is yet to sign a contract.
Directed by Raihan Rafi, the film, if all goes well, will cast Purnima in the role of a journalist. The cast of “Dohon” also include Siam Ahmed, Puja Chery and Raj Ritu.
