How to sign up for DLF and the cost of tickets

This time all participants must register as entry to the festival requires one to show the e-ticket, either in print or digital format.

The Dhaka Lit Fest (DLF) website has a registration form through which anyone can register in minutes.

This year, there will be a registration fee; regular entrance will cost Tk500 for a day and Tk1,500 for four days.

Students will have to pay a discounted price of Tk200 for one day and Tk500 for four days.

Additionally, DLF is offering VIP tickets for Tk3,000 for one day and Tk10,000 for four days.

They however will enjoy the added benefits of VIP ID cards, a special VIP line to enter the festival, access to a VIP lounge with meals (including lunch), and a VIP car permit for free parking.

It is also to be noted that the venue won't have any facilities for printing the e-ticket.

Regarding the sale of tickets this time, interested visitors' reactions to the announcement have been conflicting.

Some participants have questioned why someone would be reluctant to pay for a literary event if they already spend money on going to movies and eating out.

However, students have voiced different opinions.

Sadaf Saaz, the producer and director of the Dhaka Lit Fest, told the media that charging a registration fee would help make it more sustainable.

Echoing similar thoughts, Kazi Anis Ahmed, publisher of the Dhaka Tribune and director of DLF said that each session at the Hay Festival would cost between 50 and 100 pounds for well-known authors.

He continued by stating that the DLF is a nonprofitable organization and that its fans should be a part of that community and help sustain it by taking ownership so DLF can be a high-quality festival.
