‘Her Stories: Adventure of Supergirls’ cover unveiled at DLF

The Her Stories Project, a foundation that works for women empowerment and gender equality, unveiled the cover of their book “Her Stories: Adventure of Supergirls” at the Dhaka Lit Fest on Friday evening. The book features a number of short stories on powerful women such as Rokeya Sakhawat Hossain , Pritilata Waddedar, Sufia Kamal and such others whose contributions changed the way women are perceived in the country. It ends with the story of Supernova, a character that represents all the mothers in the world. Cultural Affairs Minister Asaduzzaman Noor was present at the ceremony as the chief guest. Nishat Mazumder, the first Bangladeshi female mountaineer to scale Mountain Everest; Nayma Haque and Tamanna-e-Lutfi, first combat pilots of Bangladesh Air Force; and Mabia Akhter, the first female weightlifter of Bangladesh who achieved gold medal in South Asian Games shared their stories with the audience at the cover unveiling ceremony.
