The commerce ministry has reduced the price of palm oil by Tk8 per litre.
Besides, the price of sugar has been increased by Tk6 per kilogram.
The new prices will be effective from Friday.
Commerce Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh came up with the information after a meeting with the Bangladesh Vegetable Oil Refiners and Vanaspati Manufacturers Association at the secretariat on Thursday.
The palm oil was priced at Tk133 per litre which will now be Tk125.
Besides, the price of loose sugar was Tk90 per kg. The new price of sugar will be Tk96 per kg.
