ADP implementation 64.7% in 11 months

The government has been able to implement 64.72% of Annual Development Programme in the first 11 months of the current fiscal year. Different ministries and divisions spent Tk77,204 crore from the ADP funds during the July-May period of the FY2016-17. However, the implementation rate was lower during the same period a year ago as the government was able to spend Tk58,076 crore which was 61.85% of the total ADP outlay. Planning Minister AHM Mustofa Kamal presented the data to the journalists on Tuesday following a meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec). The data showed that the total budgetary allocation in the FY2016-17 was Tk119,296 crore for 1,668 ADP projects. Of them, the government implemented 166 projects with its own funds. The figure was Tk93,905 crore in 1,557 projects in FY2015-16. The government implemented 143 projects with its own funding. According to the planning ministry data, the ADP implementation rates were 67% and 66% respectively in the FY2014-15 and FY2013-14.
