Motorbike enthusiasts have found online market as their desired place to score a deal.
It was found the sale of motorbikes has been increasing cumulatively in the online market as dealers across the country added a new dimension to marketing.
Now, the buyers do not need to go to different showrooms to compare the pricing and conditions of motorbikes – they can just go online and have all prices and models.
Country’s leading online market place, Bikroy.com, says the number of second hand motorbike advertisements in January has increased by 13% since November. In January more than 6,500 advertisements was uploaded on their site alone.
According to statistics from Bikroy.com, Bajaj Pulsar was the most popular second hand motorbike online. In January, a total of 870 advertisements of Bajaj Pulsar have been uploaded on Bikroy.com at an average price of Tk155,000 each.
The price depends on the model year of motorbikes, condition and mileage. For example, there is a Bajaj Puslar 2012 model year available for Tk175,000. There is also a 2008 year model available online for Tk105,000.
A significant number of motorbike dealers are regularly posting advertisements online market places and selling their cars without any peril.
Kamal from Universe motors says that motorbike selling is up again after the political turmoil. Akbar from Halim Motors says that the prices of motorbikes are in an upward trend.
“The demand of motorbikes is growing more than the supply in Banlgadesh and that is the main reason for the increase in prices,” said Akbar.
