NCC Bank holds nationwide training program for women entrepreneurs

NCC Bank is organizing a nationwide training program on “Entrepreneurship Development & Green Banking” with the aim of promoting women’s economic empowerment, financial inclusion, entrepreneurship development, and sustainable business practices.

The program is being implemented as part of the bank’s continued initiatives to enhance the business knowledge and skills of women entrepreneurs while making banking and financing facilities more accessible to them.

The training program is being conducted through NCC Bank’s extensive network of branches and sub-branches across the country.

With a target of training 3,000 women entrepreneurs, the program has already been completed at 99 branches, with a total of 2,490 women entrepreneurs participating in the training sessions.

As part of the initiative, a training session was recently organized at NCC Bank Dhanmondi Branch, where Md Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director of NCC Bank, attended as chief guest.

Nighat Mumtaz, EVP & head of sustainable & women’s banking, and Md Jashimuddin, SVP & regional head of Outskirts Dhaka Region, were present as special guests.

Helal Uddin, VP & HoBB of Elephant Road Branch, chaired the program.

Md Habibur Rahman, deputy managing director of NCC Bank, encouraged women customers to open Parama Accounts and take advantage of NCC Bank’s dedicated women’s banking facilities and services.

He said that women entrepreneurs play a vital role in strengthening the national economy, generating employment, and promoting inclusive economic growth.

He emphasized that access to formal financial services, appropriate financing, digital banking facilities, and practical business knowledge is essential for enabling women entrepreneurs to establish, manage, and expand sustainable businesses.

He highlighted NCC Bank’s digital banking initiatives, including NCC Always, Digital Account Opening, and Bangla QR, which make banking and business transactions more accessible, convenient, and efficient.

He encouraged women entrepreneurs to make greater use of these digital facilities to manage their financial activities, streamline business transactions, and benefit from modern banking services.

She said the nationwide training program, being conducted across the Bank’s branch network, aims to enhance women entrepreneurs’ practical knowledge of entrepreneurship development and green banking while promoting sustainable business practices.

She highlighted NCC Bank’s Green Banking Refinance facilities and Parama’s Conventional and Islamic Banking products, offering women entrepreneurs tailored financial solutions at attractive rates.

She emphasized that access to finance, knowledge, and modern banking services can help women entrepreneurs strengthen and expand their businesses and contribute more actively to the formal economy.
