SBAC Bank PLC has signed an agreement to participate in Bangladesh Bank’s Tk5,000 crore refinance scheme aimed at providing working capital support to entrepreneurs in the cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises (CMSME) sector.
In the presence of Md Anis Ur Rahman, deputy governor of Bangladesh Bank; Zabdul Islam, director of the SME and Special Programs Department of Bangladesh Bank, and SM Mainul Kabir, managing director & CEO of SBAC Bank, signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations at the ANM Hamidullah Conference Room of Bangladesh Bank on Tuesday.
Nahid Rahman, executive director of Bangladesh Bank, Jahangir Alam, head of credit risk management division and EVP of SBAC Bank, and senior officials from both institutions were also present at the event.
