As part of its commitment towards the healthcare sector of the country, MTB Foundation, in partnership with Quasem Foundation, has completed 15 eye camps under the project titled ‘Eyesight Restoration Camps’ in Rangpur division.
The program was attended by Samia Chowdhury, chief executive officer, & Nazmus Sakib, associate from MTB Foundation, and Md Abdul Hamid, branch manager, MTB Gobindaganj branch, & Md Aminur Rahman, branch manager, MTB Saidpur sub-branch.
A large number of underserved people were provided with basic healthcare facilities including eye screening, medicine supply, distribution of spectacles and conducting surgeries like cataract, pterygium, Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR) and Dacryocystectomy (DCT).
Constructive sessions on awareness building regarding primary eye care were also held at the eye camps.
