Mercantile Bank PLC inaugurated four new sub-branches Thursday, June 4, 2026 with the aim of providing modern and convenient banking services to customers.
The new sub-branches are Miarhat in Swarupkathi, Pirojpur, Shibchar in Madaripur, Merajnagar in Kadamtali, Dhaka, and Bhola Banglabazar in Bhola.
Mati Ul Hasan, managing director of the bank, inaugurated the sub-branches as chief guest.
Bank’s deputy managing director Shamim Ahmed delivered his welcome speech and deputy managing director Ashim Kumar Saha delivered give of thanks on the occasion.
DMDs Md Zakir Hossain, Md Zahid Hossain and Tapash Chandra Paul, SEVPs Mohammad Iqbal Rezwan, Md Abdul Halim & head of main branch Md Abdul Awal, head of risk management division & DCRO Shamim Ahmed, head of branches division Md Aliullah, and heads of all controlling branches, in charges, local distinguished persons, business representatives, media personnel, bank officials, and invited guests were also present on the occasion.

With the addition of these four new sub branches, the total number of Mercantile Bank sub branches has reached 52, on the other hand 153 branch, 200 ATM & CRM Booths and 188 Agent Banking outlets continuously providing the best banking services all over the countries he added.
