With the goal of business development and sustainable growth, IFIC Bank organized the ‘IFIC Bank Uposhakha Business Conference 2026 – Chittagong Region’, which saw participation from all the sub branches (Uposhakhas) of the bank in the Chittagong region.
The daylong conference took place on Saturday, January 31, at the Chittagong Club.
The chief guest at the event was chairman of the bank Md Mehmood Husain.
Also present were the bank's managing director Syed Mansur Mustafa, deputy managing director Md Rafiqul Islam, regional manager of the Chittagong Region Md Monjurul Mumin, and officials from all Uposhakhas of the Chittagong region.
Md Mehmood Husain emphasized: "The main strength of IFIC Bank is the trust of our customers and the tireless efforts of the dedicated staff working at the grassroots level." He further stated that in the current competitive banking environment, the Uposhakhas play a crucial role in customer service and expressed optimism that IFIC Bank would establish itself as a reliable and comprehensive banking service center for customers in the Chittagong region in the future.
Similarly, the bank's managing director Syed Mansur Mustafa remarked: "The wide-reaching network of IFIC Bank’s Uposhakhas across the country provides a strong foundation for the bank's business growth. The bank is continuously undertaking various initiatives to improve staff competence, career growth, and expand modern banking services."
The inaugural address of the event was delivered by deputy managing director and chief of branch business Md Rafiqul Islam, who presented detailed insights on various business plans.
In recognition of their significant contributions to deposit mobilization, loan disbursement and recovery, and achievement of operating profit, 18 sub-branches were honored with special awards at the conference.
The conference concluded with a question-and-answer session.
