Dhaka Bank PLC organized a “Financial Literacy & Career Counselling Program for the Youth” on October 26 at Lalmatia Government Mohila College, Dhaka.
An interactive session, led by Md Mostaque Ahmed, deputy managing director of Dhaka Bank PLC, on career counselling and financial literacy for the youth drew significant engagement from female students, who participated in discussions on financial discipline, savings habits, and their early career planning.
Prof Jahanara Zaman, principal of Lalmatia Government Mohila College, presided over the program and appreciated Dhaka Bank PLC’s efforts to promote financial literacy and career awareness among young women.
On behalf of Dhaka Bank PLC, HM Mostafizur Rahman, SEVP & head of retail business division, Md Shofiur Rahman, SVP of human resources division, Mohammad Riad Hasan, SVP & manager, Dhanmondi model branch, Mohammad Saifur Rahman, head of student banking, and Muhammad Nazmul Haque, vice principal of Lalmatia Government Mohila College, were also present in the program.
Following the program, a student banking booth was inaugurated at the college premises, where students were offered instant digital account opening facilities and introduced Dhaka Bank’s youth-focused banking services.
The program aimed to inspire students to develop smart financial habits by enhancing financial literacy career preparedness, and gain a deeper understanding of banking and entrepreneurship, empowering them to become financially confident leaders for tomorrow.
