United Commercial Bank PLC (UCB) has signed a partnership agreement with bKash, the country’s largest mobile financial service provider, to introduce 24/7 Automated Cash Management Services for bKash agents, distributors and partners across Bangladesh.
Through this collaboration, bKash’s extensive network of agents and distributors maintaining accounts with UCB will gain access to real-time, round-the-clock automated cash management facilities.
Using their UCB accounts, agents, distributors and merchants will be able to add money, transfer funds, and generate e-money anytime, enabling faster transactions and advancing the shift toward a cashless economy—free from the limitations of traditional banking hours.
The MoU was officially exchanged between Adnan Masud, additional managing director of UCB, and Moinuddin Mohammed Rahgir, chief financial officer of bKash, at a signing ceremony recently held at UCB Corporate Head Office.
The event was honored by the presence of Nabil Mustafizur Rahman and Abul Alam Ferdous, additional managing directors of UCB; Md Abdullah Al Mamoon, Faruk Ahammad, and SM Mainul Kabir, deputy managing directors of UCB, and Ahamed Ashraf Sharif, head of treasury, bKash; along with other senior officials from both organizations.
The initiative reaffirms UCB’s dedication to strengthening its digital banking services, enhancing customer experience and supporting the development of Bangladesh’s digital financial landscape.
