Al-Arafah Islami Bank (AIB) PLC. has opened its 89th sub-branch at Firingi Bazar Chittagong.
Managing director (current charge) of the bank Mohd Rafat Ullah Khan inaugurated the sub-branch as the chief guest at a ceremony organized on a virtual platform on Monday.
Khan said: "Al-Arafah Islami Bank is always committed to providing customers with modern banking facilities as well as interest-free banking services in accordance with Shariah. In continuation of that, today we are inaugurating this sub-branch in the port city of Chittagong. The local people and businessmen of this region will be able to avail deposit and investment facilities, remittance and all other modern banking services from this sub-branch."
The event was presided over by deputy managing director of the bank Mohammed Hossain, and was attended by deputy managing director Md Abdullah Al Mamun, Md Fazlur Rahman Chowdhury, Md Asaduzzaman Bhuiyan, SM Abu Jafar, and senior executives of the bank’s head office.
Senior executive vice president Engineer Md Habib Ullah moderated the event.
At the same time, Chittagong central regional head and senior executive vice president Md Shoaib Islam Chowdhury, Chittagong outskirt regional head and executive vice president Jamshed Ahmed Chowdhury, along with a large number of customers, well-wishers, businessmen, journalists from different walks of life, joined the event virtually.
