On the occasion of celebrating the ‘July Revolution’ and ‘Youth Festival 2025’, a tree plantation program was inaugurated at a time over the country with the govt. commercial banks, specialized banks and financial institutions under the Financial Institutions Division at Bangladesh Krishi Bank’s Staff College, Mirpur on August 6.
Salehuddin Ahmed, Finance Adviser and Adviser (in charge) of the Ministry of Science and Technology, was present in the event as chief guest.
He said that Bangladesh Krishi Bank had been implementing government polices by disbursing low interest loan under the cost of funds most of sectors and playing an important role in achieving food self-sufficiency for the country.
Chairman of the board of directors of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Mohammad Zahid Hossain presided over the event.
Secretary of Financial Institutions Division under the Ministry of Finance Nazma Mobarek was present as special guest.
She said that Bangladesh Krishi Bank had been playing significant role by developing agriculture sector and implementing government polices with 1,038 branches.
Managing Director of Bangladesh Krishi Bank Sanchia Binte Ali, directors of the board M Sayedur Rahman & Maksuma Akter Banu, deputy managing directors Md Abdur Rahim & Mohd Khaleduzzaman, all general managers and concern deputy general managers of the head office, president and general secretary of the Bangladesh Krishi Bank Employees Union (CBA), along with officers & staffs were present on the occasion.
All the offices and branches of BKB were also connected virtually on the occasion & took part on the tree plantation program.
