MA Khan Belal has been elected as chairman of the executive committee of the board of directors of Mercantile Bank PLC in its 443rd board meeting held at Bank’s head office on June 30.
Prior to this election, he was chairman of Mercantile Bank Securities Limited.
With a commendable experience in trade, industry, shipping and banking he established various companies in Bangladesh and he is the chairman of Samrat Group of Companies.
Besides the business entity he is well recognized for his benevolent contribution to society through different social welfare activities, education, health & social development movements.
He is the executive member of Mohammedan Sporting Club Limited Dhaka and former vice president of Noakhali Zilla Samity.
MA Khan Belal is the founder of several schools, Madrasa, Mosque other socio-cultural organizations in Begumganj.
