Fire breaks out at Bangladesh Bank headquarters

A fire that broke out at the fourth floor of Bangladesh Bank on Monday has been doused. 

Four firefighting units brought the flames under control after 6:50pm, reports the media. 

The fire broke out around 6:20pm. 

The Motijheel patrol unit of fire service along with three units from Siddikbazar Fire Station brought the blaze under control. 

According to Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Serajul Islam the fire originated from the refrigerator of a four-storied drug dispensary adjacent to the headquarters.
