The Canada-Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CanCham Bangladesh) and the Bangladesh Business Chamber of Canada (BBCC) have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to strengthen commercial and economic relations between Bangladesh and Canada.
The agreement establishes a framework for the two chambers to work together to identify and support investment opportunities in Bangladesh, increase exports from Bangladesh to Canada, and promote Canadian products for export to Bangladesh.
The chambers also agreed to cooperate in several areas of mutual interest and encourage stronger business connections between their members.
The MOU was signed on behalf of BBCC by Ferdous Ahmed, vice president of the Bangladesh Business Chamber of Canada, and on behalf of CanCham Bangladesh by Mohammad Kamal Uddin, president of CanCham Bangladesh.
Also present at the signing were Ali Bakhtiar Mahmud, treasurer of CanCham Bangladesh, and M Shahadat Hossain Sohel, president of the Bangladesh Terry Towel & Linen Manufacturers and Exporters Association.
Through this partnership, both chambers aim to help businesses explore opportunities in the Canadian and Bangladeshi markets and contribute to stronger bilateral trade and investment.
