UCB Asset Management, bKash make mutual fund investing seamless

In a first for Bangladesh, UCB Asset Management has partnered with bKash to make investing in UCB Income Plus Fund, the country’s largest fixed income fund, simpler than ever.

Investors of the fund can now subscribe to the fund directly through the bKash app in just a few taps.

The two equity-oriented schemes managed by UCB Asset Management will join the platform soon, giving investors an even wider choice.

This arrangement was formalized at a signing ceremony held at UCB Asset Management’s head office in Dhaka.

Representing UCB Asset Management were Nabil Mustafizur Rahman, chairman; Shah Alam and Shahbaz Talat, directors; Mohammad Ridhwanul Haq, independent director; and SM Rashedul Hasan, MD & CEO were present at the event.

Representing bKash were Ali Ahmmed, chief commercial officer; SM Belal Ahmed, EVP & head of government & utility bill payments, commercial; Sabbir Ahmad, general manager, financial services, commercial; and Abu Salah Md Moinuddin, vice president, and Sakib Ahmed, manager, both of government & utility bill payments, commercial were present.

UCB Asset Management believes that by connecting with a trusted name like bKash, pooled investment vehicles can now access a large countrywide distribution network, helping the investment management industry scale several times over.
