Corporate Amateur Premier League 2026 (Season 4) from October 16

With the trophy unveiled, the captains assembled and eight teams ready to compete, the Corporate Amateur Premier League (CAPL) 2026 is set to return for its fourth season, beginning October 16 and running through December.

The season officially moved into its final build-up phase with the CAPL 2026 Captains’ Meet and Trophy Unveiling ceremony, held at Shinepukur Suites, bringing together representatives of all eight participating teams ahead of the tournament.

The event was attended by Mohammed Ashique Rahman, president, CAPL; Rafsun A Jan, general secretary, CAPL; Tarif Mohammed Khan, adviser, CAPL; and Tauhidur Rahman, head of the CAPL umpire panel and first-class umpire of the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB).

The fourth edition will feature eight teams from across the corporate and professional community: Bangladesh Lawyers Cricket Club, Advocates Cricket Club, Lawyers Cricket Association of Bangladesh, Cricket Magnet, Eastern Bank PLC, Bdjobs.com, Fiber@Home, and Renegade Rangers.

The teams have been divided into two groups of four through a lottery draw.

The opening phase will follow a round-robin format, with every team playing three group-stage matches.

The tournament then splits into four knockout pathways: Cup, Bowl, Plate and Bronze ensuring that every team has five matches across the competition.

The tournament will be played over 40 overs, under ICC rules, with matches officiated by BCB senior umpires and scorers.

The 2026 edition will be staged at Fans Cricket Academy Field, Silicon City, Amin Bazar, which will serve as the home of all matches this season.

The tournament's rules also place clear boundaries around player eligibility.

Participants must be at least 28 years old, while players from the Dhaka League, Premier League and Zila League are not eligible under the tournament regulations.

Lawyer teams have an additional qualification requirement, with players required to hold a recognized law degree from Bangladesh or abroad.

President of CAPL Mohammed Ashique Rahman said: “CAPL has been built around a simple idea: bring professionals together through cricket while retaining the competitive character of organized tournament play. With the spirit of sportsmanship and everyone’s support, CAPL will be the north star on the horizon of corporate cricket.”

Adviser of CAPL Tarif Mohammed Khan said: “As we enter the fourth season of CAPL, it is encouraging to see the tournament continue to grow in both participation and competitive spirit. The captains’ meet and trophy unveiling have set the tone, and now the real excitement begins on the field. I wish all eight teams the very best for the season, and I hope CAPL 2026 gives us not only great cricket, but also great stories, friendships and memories beyond the boundary.”
