Marking World Heart Day with the theme “Don’t Miss a beat” Labaid Cardiac Hospital has organized a day-long “Free Cardiac Consultation” program.
Under this initiative, visitors to the hospital, patients’ relatives, and general public are being given the opportunity to learn about their heart health.
They can also seek advice from specialist physicians when necessary.
As part of the World Heart Day observance, a seminar on heart disease and its prevention was organized at the hospital.
Dr Md Mohasin Uddin presented a keynote on the subject at the seminar.
Prominent cardiologists from across the country attended the event.
Dr Abduz Zaher chaired the seminar.
The panel of experts included Prof Dr Baren Chakraborty, Dr Md Lokman Hossain, Dr Arun Kumar Sharma, Dr S Mokaddas Hossain (Sadi), and Dr Nur Mohammad.
Dr Mahbubur Rahman moderated the event.
The hospital’s medical directors and other senior officials were also present.
Earlier in the morning, a colorful rally was organized to mark World Heart Day.
The rally began at Labaid Cardiac Hospital, proceeded through Green Road and Mirpur Road, and returned to Labaid Cardiac Hospital, where it concluded.
The rally was inaugurated by Ahmed Dawood, chief executive officer of Labaid Hospital.
Senior consultants, medical directors, senior officials, and large number of nurses and healthcare workers attended the rally.
Meanwhile, on the occasion of World Heart Day 2026, a “Special cardiac screening package” has begun at Labaid Cardiac Hospital, the country’s first hospital to receive NABH accreditation.
The initiative began on September 25 and will continue until October 15.
People will have the opportunity to learn about their heart health through a cardiac screening package.
Specialist medical consultations will also be available when required.
