Nrityanchal Performing Arts Academy, one of Bangladesh’s leading dance institutions, celebrated its 25th anniversary with a three-day Silver Jubilee Festival from September 11 to 13 at the Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy.
The festivities commenced on September 11 with a rally on the Shilpakala Academy premises.
Legendary dancers and Directors of Nrityanchal, Shamim Ara Nipa and Shibli Mohammad, joined teachers, students, and crew members to officially launch the event by releasing balloons and festoons.
On September 12, a special children’s performance titled "Chhoray Chhonde Nrityamala" took place at the National Theater Hall. State Minister for Foreign Affairs Shama Obayed attended as chief guest.
The ceremony featured guest appearances by Sheikh Rezauddin Stalin, director general of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy, along with eminent dance maestros Amanul Huq, Kajal Ibrahim, Lubna Marium, Soma Mumtaz, Belayet Hossain Khan, and Anisul Islam Hero, who joined the co-founders to mark the inauguration.
Choreographed by Shamim Ara Nipa under the supervision of Shibli Mohammad, the production featured over 400 young students performing dance routines based on educational rhymes.
The festival concluded on September 13 with "Nrityamalika," graced by Minister of Cultural Affairs Nitai Roy Chowdhury as chief guest.
More than 300 artists, alongside senior performers, showcased folk, creative, and classical dance pieces.
A key highlight of the final evening was a performance by duo Shamim Ara Nipa and Shibli Mohammad, celebrating 25 years of artistic leadership.
Throughout September 12 and 13, an exhibition in the lobby showcased photographs, memorabilia, and milestones spanning Nrityanchal's 25-year journey.

A video was uploaded on YouTube that highlighted traditional Bangladeshi group dance choreography, complementing the rich performing arts heritage celebrated during Nrityanchal's silver jubilee.
