JCI Bangladesh has officially launched the “Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Bangladesh (TOYP) 2026,” an initiative to recognize 10 young people whose achievements, leadership, courage, perseverance and contributions in their respective fields have made a meaningful and lasting impact on society.
The campaign was unveiled at “JCI Bangladesh TOYP 2026: The Prelude – Official Campaign Launch and Media Engagement,” attended by JCI leaders, media professionals, partners, key stakeholders and invited guests.
JCI’s Ten Outstanding Young Persons (TOYP) is a global recognition programme that highlights young people who have demonstrated excellence, integrity, innovation, resilience and a strong commitment to positive change.
For JCI Bangladesh, TOYP is not merely an award. It recognizes people who have stood firmly against the odds, overcome barriers, broken limitations and created meaningful change in their respective fields. The initiative celebrates not only success, but also courage, perseverance, a sense of purpose and the ability to inspire others.
TOYP recipients from different professions and fields demonstrate how personal achievements can create value for wider society when ambition is combined with a sense of responsibility. Their work can transform industries, generate new ideas, strengthen communities, create opportunities and inspire others to take action.
National Secretary General Sinan Arefeen highlighted the introduction of TOYP and its long history of recognizing outstanding achievements around the world. He said the global initiative has become an important platform for bringing forward the stories of influential young leaders and changemakers from different countries.
“TOYP is not only about celebrating success. It is recognition of those who have stood firmly against all odds and created meaningful change in their respective fields. Their journeys remind us that impact comes from resilience, belief and the courage to move forward even on difficult paths.”
Arefeen Raafi Ahmed, 2026 national president, JCI Bangladesh, said: “We want nominations to come from every corner of Bangladesh so that no deserving and inspiring story remains unknown. By bringing forward the stories of these people’s achievements, struggles and impact, we want to inspire many more people.”
Erfan Haque, advisor to national president, said: “JCI Bangladesh is working tirelessly to inspire young people and encourage them to dream big. By learning about the stories of the Ten Outstanding Young Persons of Bangladesh, we want young people to look at their own potential in a new way, believe that great things are possible and dream of creating meaningful impact in their respective fields.”
Zafir Shafiee Chowdhury, event director, said: “Through TOYP 2026, JCI Bangladesh aims to bring forward stories that deserve to be seen, heard and remembered. The recognition is intended not only to honour outstanding achievements, but also to inspire the next generation to dream big, lead with integrity, overcome adversity and create positive change in society.”
Nominations for TOYP 2026 are open to eligible individuals aged 18 to 40. Nominees will be evaluated based on their achievements, impact, leadership, integrity, resilience and contributions to society.
The deadline for submitting nominations is September 30, 2026.
