Brac University career fair introduces life sciences students to industry

The Brac University Pharmacy and Life Sciences Career Fair 2026 was held on the university’s Merul Badda campus on August 11, connecting pharmacy, biotechnology and microbiology students and graduates with around 25 leading employers from the pharmaceutical and life sciences sectors.

Addressing the fair’s inauguration ceremony as the special guest, Milos Mladenovic, country manager for Roche Bangladesh Limited, said: “Choose impact over title…ask yourself what problems I can solve because purpose has a longer shelf life than any title. Don’t overdesign your future because your first job will not define your next 30 years. Take risks and do difficult things…stay human…connection and courage will only grow together.”

Vice-Chancellor Prof Syed Ferhat Anwar said: “The canvas is huge, from R&D to service, starting with, of course, commercial, creation of brand, name it. If you would really like to understand this entire life sciences industry, believe me, you need to understand every single point.

Registrar David Dowland said Brac University is making strategic investments in students, including through international partnerships and informing students of industry expectations so that they are much better prepared for the selection processes.
