Shwapno, the largest retail chain in Bangladesh, has recently extended emergency food assistance to indigenous families affected by the recent floods and landslides in Bandarban.
As part of this humanitarian initiative, Shwapno recently distributed essential food supplies among affected indigenous and underprivileged families in Reicha, Tongkaboti, and Bandarban Sadar.
The beneficiary families were identified with the support of local development organization ASIX.
The recent floods and landslides left many families in these areas homeless, forcing them to take shelter in temporary accommodations.
With access to daily food becoming their most urgent challenge, Shwapno stepped forward to provide immediate relief by distributing essential food items to help ease their hardship.
A senior official of Shwapno said: "Meeting the basic needs of disaster-affected people becomes one of the greatest challenges during natural calamities. At Shwapno, we believe it is the responsibility of every responsible organization to stand beside communities in such difficult times. We hope this small initiative will help ease the suffering of the affected families and support them as they recover and rebuild their lives."
