Bangladeshi tech giant Walton is expanding its reach in the international market with the vision of securing a place among the top global electronics brands.
To achieve this goal, the company is actively working to expand its brand business across 100 countries.
As part of this ongoing effort, Libya—a North African nation—has recently joined Walton’s global business network.
In pursuit of this expansion, an agreement was signed recently at the Walton corporate office in the capital between Libyan electronics marketing company Asr Al Teqnia and Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC.
Under the contract, Asr Al Teqnia will act as the official distributor of Walton products in Libya, marketing and selling high-tech products including refrigerators, televisions, air conditioners, and washing machines.
The agreement was signed by Md Ziaul Alam, additional managing director and chief financial officer of Walton Hi-Tech, and Al Sadiq Al Tahir Al Saghir Karah, managing director of Asr Al Teqnia, on behalf of their respective organizations.
Abdur Rouf, chief of Walton Global Business Division, stated that Walton holds a competitive edge over other international brands due to its innovative technology, modern designs, durability, high quality, energy efficiency, eco-friendliness, and competitive pricing. As a result, the Walton brand rapidly gains consumer trust in global markets, leading to continuous expansion into new countries. Walton's brand presence has already spread across 55 countries, with Libya now becoming the newest addition to the list.
He further mentioned that two shipments of Walton-branded refrigerators, air conditioners, televisions, and washing machines have already been exported to Libya this year.
The company expects that expanding business operations in Libya will pave the way for smoother market entry into other North African nations.
The signing ceremony was also attended by Walton chief marketing officer Zoheb Ahmed, deputy head of Walton Global Business Division Sayeid Al Imran, and Libya country manager Abdul Latif Pramanik, among other senior-ranking officials.
