STR Solutions Ltd. has officially launched registration for the Corporate Amateur Premier League (CAPL) T40 Cricket Tournament, slated to begin on September 4, 2026, at the FANS Cricket Academy field in Silicon City.
The eight-team, 40-over tournament carries a Tk50,000 cash prize for the cup champion and targets corporate organizations seeking to engage employees through competitive sport.
Interested teams must complete registration by August 5.
The event features an eight-team cap split into two four-team groups via a lottery draw.
- Group Stage: Teams will complete a round-robin format, guaranteeing each side three matches.
- Playoffs: The top two teams from each group advance to the Cup semi-finals. Winners move to the Cup Final, while semi-final losers play in the Plate Final. The bottom two teams from each group compete in a parallel Bowl competition.
- Match Volume: All participating squads—excluding defeated Bowl semi-finalists—are guaranteed five total matches.
Organizers have established strict eligibility criteria to keep the tournament strictly amateur.
Active players from the Dhaka League, Premier League, or Zila League are prohibited from competing.
Only players who last participated in these official leagues on or before Dec. 31, 2021, are eligible.
Key technical rules include:
- Age Requirement: Roster members must be at least 28 years old.
- Roster Size: Teams may register up to 20 players, submitting a 13-player match-day sheet that permits two "Impact Players" (tactical substitutions for batting or bowling).
- Officiating & Standards: Official Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) senior umpires and scorers will officiate all matches following standard ICC rules. Matches will feature white balls and colored kits, with strict 180-minute inning time limits to enforce pace of play.
- Tiebreakers & Weather: Tied matches will be resolved via super overs. CricHeroes app net run rates will decide group standings if teams tie on points (3 points per win). Reserve days are allocated for total rainouts, while rain-affected matches require a minimum 15-over second innings to yield a valid result.
The entry fee is set at Tk240,000 per team, which includes 20 custom equipment and kit sets (jersey, trousers, cap).
A 50% deposit and required documentation—including national ID photocopies and passport photos—are mandatory to confirm entry.
A mandatory captain’s meet is scheduled for August 29 ahead of the September 4 start.
All matches will be broadcast live on YouTube and Facebook, alongside real-time scoring updates on the CricHeroes app.
