AIT, a Bangladesh-founded, US-headquartered AI and frontier technology company formerly known as Astha IT, has partnered with the Bangladesh Cancer Aid Trust (Bancat) to support cancer patients through its sponsorship of accommodation and transportation facilities at Mosabbir Memorial Alok Nibash, a dedicated residential center for individuals undergoing cancer treatment.
The partnership was marked by a visit from members of AIT's business team to the Bancat facilities, where they spent time with patients, caregivers, and the people working behind the scenes to support them every day.
The visit offered an opportunity to listen to personal stories, understand the realities many families face during treatment, and witness the impact that compassionate support can make during difficult times.
The visit concluded with the signing of an agreement formalizing AIT's support for the Alok Nibash program.
For many cancer patients who travel from different parts of Bangladesh for treatment, finding a safe and affordable place to stay can add another layer of stress to an already challenging journey.
Mosabbir Alok Nibash was established to help ease that burden by providing accommodation and a supportive environment with transportation facilities to prominent hospitals.
Through this sponsorship, AIT will contribute to Bancat's mission of ensuring that no one has to face cancer alone.
"Established businesses have the power, and responsibility, to create meaningful impact beyond their core operations," said Arafat Nizam, the COO of AIT, "We are honored to support Bancat's efforts and hope this partnership contributes, in a meaningful way, to the well-being of cancer patients and their families."
Representatives from Bancat welcomed the partnership and emphasized the importance of collective support in sustaining services for patients who often travel long distances to receive treatment.
The collaboration reflects AIT's ongoing commitment to creating positive social impact and supporting initiatives that improve lives within the communities it serves.
