Springfield Corporation, the authorized channel partner of Alibaba.com in Bangladesh, has officially inaugurated its new office in Chittagong, further strengthening support for Bangladeshi exporters, manufacturers, suppliers, and traders seeking access to global markets through digital trade.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Summer, general manager – Pakistan & Bangladesh, Alibaba.com, Vania, senior specialist, channel operation, global business development, Alibaba.com, Bryce, business development manager, Alibaba.com, Tina, service & account manager, Alibaba.com, Sonobar Maira, channel manager, Bangladesh, Alibaba.com, Md Faizul Alam, managing director of Springfield Corporation, Shaan Shahed, executive director, Sajeed Bin Sulaiman, consultant, Springfield Corporation, Rezbi Karim, deputy general manager, and Umma Rokeya Nisha, assistant general manager, along with other senior officials from both organizations.
Through this partnership, Springfield Corporation will help Bangladeshi businesses leverage Alibaba’s global B2B platform, which connects buyers and sellers across nearly 200 countries and regions.
The initiative will initially focus on the textile and apparel sector, followed by jute, leather, light engineering, handicrafts, and other export-oriented industries.
Speaking at the event, company representatives emphasized that the Chittagong office will bring global business opportunities closer to local enterprises and contribute to strengthening Bangladesh’s export ecosystem through digital trade.
The new office marks another important step toward empowering Bangladeshi businesses to expand internationally and accelerate the country's participation in the global digital economy.
Initially, the collaboration will focus on the textile and apparel sector, followed by expansion into other key industries including jute, leather, light engineering, handicrafts, and additional export-oriented sectors.
The opening of Springfield Corporation’s Chittagong office represents another important step toward strengthening Bangladesh’s export ecosystem, fostering digital transformation, and creating new avenues for sustainable economic growth through global trade.
