As part of the nationwide mobile healthcare initiative 'Chhappanno Hazaar Square Mile Jure', launched to mark the birth centenary of the late founding chairman Samson H Chowdhury, a free health camp has been organized by Square Group in Khilgaon, Dhaka on Saturday.
The camp was conducted from 8:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Abdul Aziz Bhuiyan & Begum Shaista Noorani Hafizia Qawmi Madrasa premises in Balurpar, Khilgaon.
Habibur Rashid Habib, State Minister for Road Transport & Bridges, and Railways, and MP for Dhaka-9, visited the camp.
He appreciated the initiative for serving the underprivileged people of his constituency and expressed his gratitude to the organizer, Square Group.
During the daylong camp, local underprivileged and needy residents received free medical consultation and essential medicines from the doctors.
Additionally, free blood pressure checkups and diabetes tests were provided to the patients.
The mobile healthcare initiative is being organized continuously to deliver primary healthcare to marginalized people across the country's 56,000 square miles, inspired by the humanitarian ideals of the late Samson H Chowdhury.
So far, more than 60,000 people across nearly 14 districts of the country have received free health services and medicines under this initiative.
