Daffodil International University triumphs at Infinity AI Buildfest 2026

Students from the Department of Computing and Information Systems (CIS) of Daffodil International University (DIU) achieved success at The Infinity AI Buildfest 2026, held at BRAC University, securing championship titles in both the EdTech and HealthTech categories.

The national-level competition, held on June 12, brought together 3,360 participants and 612 teams from universities across Bangladesh.

Teams competed across five categories: Education (EdTech), Healthcare (HealthTech), Branding & Marketing, E-Commerce, and InfoTech.

DIU’s Team Tokenizers emerged as champion in the EdTech category, one of the most competitive segments of the competition, featuring 56 teams. The team impressed the judges with its innovative project, CyLnk Learn.

CyLnk Learn is an AI-powered adaptive cybersecurity learning platform that uses an intelligent AI tutor to monitor learners’ progress and generate personalized real-world challenges and sandbox-based hacking labs.

Rather than relying solely on video-based instruction, the platform enables users to develop cybersecurity skills through practical, hands-on experience.

The members of Team The Tokenizers are Mosabbir Hasan Ratul, Israt Jahan Ayesha, Bahiya Nureen Bushra, Hasibul Hasan Rahim, Mehedi Hasan, and Rehnuma Tasnim Nilima.

In the HealthTech category, DIU’s Team DuoGuard secured the championship with its project “Arbor”, an intelligent assistive system designed to help speech-impaired mothers communicate their needs and emotions more effectively with caregivers and family members.

The project received high praise from the judges for its innovative and compassionate application of technology in healthcare.

The members of Team DuoGuard are Samara Habib, Sajid Hossain, and Nafisa Tabassum Nusrat.

In addition, the team has achieved remarkable success on the international stage.

They won the Gold Medal at the 8th WICE International National Round and received the “Special Mention” award at the Global Robotics and Innovation Consortium (GRIC) 2026.

Building on these achievements, the team has also been selected to participate in the Global Rounds to be held in Malaysia and Turkey.

Speaking about the event, Mohammad Mahdi-Uz-Zaman, president of CloudCamp Bangladesh, said: “Through The Infinity AI Buildfest 2026, we aim to create a platform where young innovators can develop practical AI-driven solutions, receive proper mentorship, and showcase their capabilities on a global stage.”

University officials noted that these achievements reflect the students’ innovative mindset, technical expertise, and ability to develop solutions for real-world challenges.

The success further reinforces DIU’s commitment to fostering innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology-driven education.
