The proposed budget for the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) has been increased in the 2026–27 fiscal year.
A total allocation of Tk2,700.39 crore has been proposed for the PMO, up from Tk2,571.9763 crore allocated in the 2025–26 fiscal year.
According to budget figures, the allocation for the Prime Minister’s Office has increased by approximately Tk128.41 crore, representing a rise of nearly 5% compared to the previous fiscal year.
Finance Minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury unveiled the proposed national budget for the 2026–27 fiscal year in parliament on Thursday.
The proposed budget, the first under the current government, has an outlay of Tk938,000 crore.
The proposed allocation is intended to support administrative operations, development programs, and the activities of institutions operating under the Prime Minister’s Office.
