The Summit, which will be held on August 18-20 this year, will bring together 500 national and international young delegates, as well as 50 nationally and internationally renowned speakers.

Speaking at the press conference, Ejaj Ahmad, founder and president of BYLC said, “The goal of the Summit is to bring together youth with differing viewpoints and ideologies and instill in them values of inclusive and compassionate leadership.”

The title sponsor of the Youth Leadership Summit 2016 is UKaid. The Summit will feature a mix of plenaries and concurrent panels on issues ranging from identities and values to education, entrepreneurship, and social innovation. This year’s keynote speakers will include Harvard professor Dean Wiliams and the Honourable Prime Minister’s International Affairs Advisor Gowher Rizvi. The Summit will also present the exciting opportunity for participants to compete for the BYLC Youth Leadership Prize, where they will design and produce projects that address pressing developmental challenges. The 10 best project ideas will have the chance to win Tk800,000 each.
In order to bring together the brightest young minds in the country, BYLC will be hosting information sessions in 100 universities across 11 regions including Chittagong, Noakhali, Comilla, Barisal, Khulna, Kustia, Rajshahi, Rangpur, Tangail, Mymensingh and Sylhet. The admissions phase will continue from May 5 to June 10, 2016.
The Youth Leadership Summit 2016 will take place from 18-20 August, 2016 at the International Convention City Bashundhara, Dhaka.
