Walton Brand officially launched in Sri Lanka

Global electronics brand Walton has officially launched its business operation in Sri Lanka, marking another milestone towards becoming one of the top global electronics brands.

The launching ceremony was held at the Cinnamon Life Hotel in Colombo. 

The grand launching program was organized by “Monik Trading Private Limited,” a renowned Sri Lankan farm and Walton Brand's distributor. 

SM Mahbubul Alam, managing director of Walton Hi-Tech Industries, attended the function as the chief guest, while Dr Wasala Maduwantha Ariyapala, managing director of Monik Trading, Md Jannatul Habib, deputy head of Mission of the Bangladesh Embassy in Sri Lanka, Thisara Perera, former captain of the Sri Lankan National Cricket Team, and Nishat Tasnim Shuchi, chief executive officer of Walton Micro-Tech Corporation, were also present as special guests.
 
Apart from them, around four hundred distributors and traders from Sri Lanka also participated in the program.

Speaking as the chief guest at the program, Walton Hi-Tech's Managing Director SM Mahbubul Alam said: “Walton has presence in Sri Lanka for a long time through cricket sponsorship. Now, the business operation of Walton has launched, and we are very happy to get Monik Trading as a partner in the path of Walton brand business in Sri Lanka.”

Highlighting product research and innovation, technological development, and other initiatives at the program, Walton’s Managing Director said that continuous investments are being made in automation, product research, and innovation to uphold competitiveness in the global market. 

Along with overseas R&I (Research and Innovation) centers in China and South Korea, he said, product-based separate R&I centers were set up in the Walton factory.

Mahbubul Alam also noted that design, technology, features and quality of Walton products are constantly being developed according to the customer needs, weather conditions and standards of developed countries. 
In continuation of this, Walton has been able to produce South Asia's most energy-efficient residential AC and the world's first voice-controlled AC. 

In addition, Walton's refrigerators, ACs, TVs, and other products have been equipped with their own innovative and cutting-edge smart technologies and features like energy-efficient intelligent inverter technology, IoT, AI, or artificial intelligence.

Pointing at the success of the Walton brand business expansion in the global market, he said: "The Walton brand business is currently being operated in more than 50 countries in Asia, the Middle East, Africa, and Europe. The demand and use of the Walton brand products in Asian countries is going up. I firmly believe that the Walton brand will be able to secure a strong market position through winning the trust of Sri Lankan buyers."
 
Addressing the event, Monik Trading's Managing Director, Dr Wasala Maduwantha Ariyapala, said: "In terms of product quality, use of innovative and latest technology, energy efficiency, sustainability, and price competitiveness, the Walton brand is ahead of other brands. Very soon, Walton brand products will be available in more than a thousand retail outlets across the Sri Lankan market. 

“These Walton brand products will soon find a place in thousands of sales outlets across Sri Lanka. I firmly believe that the Walton brand will quickly win the hearts of Sri Lankan buyers."

Deputy Head of Mission of the Bangladesh Embassy in Sri Lanka, Md Jannatul Habib, said, business expansion of the Bangladeshi tech giant Walton brand in the Sri Lankan market is undoubtedly excellent news. Through this expansion, Bangladesh's export income will increase, and Bangladesh's image in the global market will be brighter.

Walton Micro-Tech's CEO, Nishat Tasnim Shuch,i said: “We are working in the international market with the goal of making Walton the world's leading global electronics brand. By officially launching the Walton brand in Sri Lanka, we have achieved another milestone towards that goal.”
