Pubali Bank PLC has initiated the establishment of Islamic Banking Corners nationwide to meet the growing demand for Islamic banking services.
These corners will provide easy access to a full range of Islamic banking services.
In this regard, a modern and customer-friendly Islamic Banking Corner was inaugurated on Wednesday at Pubali Bank PLC’s Khamarbari Branch in Dhaka.
The event was graced by the presence of Md Saiful Alam, director general of the Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE), as the chief guest.
Mohammad Ali, managing director and CEO of Pubali Bank PLC, attended as the guest of honour.
The program was presided over by AKM Abdur Raqib, general manager and head of the Dhaka North Region of Pubali Bank, with Dewan Jamil Masud, general manager and head of the Islamic Banking Wing, present as the special guest.
Speeches were delivered by Dr Md Sahinul Islam, director (Administration and Finance) of the Department of Agricultural Extension; SM Suhrab Uddin, director (Horticulture Wing); and former director general Md Asadullah.
The welcome address was given by Badrul Islam, assistant general manager of the Khamarbari Branch.
Speaking at the event, chief guest Md Saiful Alam, director general of the Department of Agricultural Extension, remarked Islamic banking is not just a financial service; it is a system grounded in ethics and religious principles.
Pubali Bank's initiative will provide convenience for customers and contribute significantly to the country's economic development.
