National Bank has been honoured with the Remittance Award 2024 by the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment for its exceptional contribution to remittance collection during the fiscal year 2023-24.
The award ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Osmani Memorial Auditorium in Dhaka, as part of the event commemorating International Migrants Day and National Expatriates Day 2024.
Sheikh Akhter Uddin Ahmed, deputy managing director and Milton Roy, head of the Foreign Remittance Division of National Bank, received the award on behalf of the Bank from Dr Asif Nazrul, advisor to the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, and the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, and Asif Mahmud Shojib Bhuyain, advisor to the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development, and Co-operatives.
Md Ruhul Amin, secretary of the Ministry of Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment, and other dignitaries were present at the event.
