Walton expands its own brand in Sri Lanka

With the aim of becoming one of the best electronics brands in the world, Walton is constantly expanding its own brand business in new countries in Europe, Asia, the Middle East and Africa.

In continuation of this, this global electronics brand has taken the initiative to expand its market in the South Asian country of Sri Lanka on a large scale.

Sri Lanka’s Monik Trading Private Limited will market Walton brand products in the Sri Lankan market.

Recently, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Monik Trading and Walton Hi-Tech Industries PLC at the Marino Beach Hotel in Colombo, the capital of Sri Lanka.

The MoU was signed on behalf of their respective organizations by Dr. Wasal Maduwanta Ariyapala and Additional Managing Director (AMD) and Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of Walton Hi-Tech Md. Ziaul Alam.

High Commissioner of Bangladesh Embassy in Sri Lanka Elias Andalib was present as the chief guest at the event.

He said that Sri Lanka and Bangladesh have a long-standing friendly relationship. He expressed his strong hope that the existing friendly relations between the two countries will go further with the signing of the MoU between Walton and Monique Trading today.

Among others present at the agreement signing ceremony were Bangladesh High Commission Deputy Chief of Mission Jannatul Habib, First Secretary Nizamul Islam, Walton Deputy Company Secretary Md. Enamul Haque, Vice President of FCS and Global Business Branch Abdur Rouf, Chief Finance Officer of Monik Trading MNH Nashwak and Assistant General Manager Kasun Mahanama.

At the event, Walton Hi-Tech AMD and CFO Md. Ziaul Alam said, Walton's goal is to become the world's leading electronics brand. To achieve this goal, special importance is being given to expanding Walton's brand business worldwide. In continuation of this, an initiative has been taken to start product marketing activities under the Walton brand logo in Sri Lanka. Monik Trading has become a partner in this progress of Walton brand. They will deliver the latest technology and feature-rich electronics, electrical, home and kitchen appliance products of the Walton brand to the Sri Lankan buyers.

Abdur Rouf, Vice President of Walton's Global Business Branch, said that from now on, Walton brand refrigerators, ACs, washing machines and other electrical, home and kitchen appliance products will be marketed in Sri Lanka. A huge shipment of Walton products will go to Sri Lanka next month. Strong sales, marketing and after-sales service facilities have already been established to create a strong position for the Walton brand in the country's market.
