To increase awareness about Shariah compliance in banking activities, Standard Bank PLC organized a Shariah Awareness Program on virtual platform Zoom for head of branches, manager operations and investment in-charges of 1,38 branches of the bank on Thursday.
Md Habibur Rahman, managing director and CEO of the bank presided over the program where Dr Muhammed Saifullah, chairman of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of the Bank was present as the chief guest.
Prof Dr Zubair Mohammad Ehsanul Hoque, member secretary of the Shariah Supervisory Committee of the bank was present as the special guest and keynote speaker and Md Siddiqur Rahman, deputy managing director and COO of the bank moderated the open floor discussion.
KM Rahmatullah, SAVP and head of Shariah Secretariat Division acted as the anchor of the program.
