Best Electronics, a prominent name in the electronics industry, appointed Syed Tahmid Zaman Rashik as its new managing director & CEO, effective January 1, 2024.
This marks Rashik's return to Best Electronics, where he initially joined in 2015 as the director of marketing.
During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in steering the company's marketing strategies and expanding its footprint to over 120 company-owned outlets.
His contributions also led to securing distributorships for esteemed global brands, including Hitachi, Sharp, Whirlpool, and Panasonic, contributing significantly to the company's growth.
After a brief hiatus from the corporate world in 2019, Rashik ventured into academia, serving as a Professor at renowned colleges in Canada.
His experience in academia enhanced his strategic acumen and leadership skills, further enriching his expertise in the business landscape.
Rashik holds a Bachelor's degree in Marketing from Newcastle University and a Master's in Strategic Marketing from Imperial College London.
His blend of academic prowess and hands-on experience in the industry positions him as a valuable asset to the company.
Best Electronics was founded in 2013 as a concern of Zaman Group, founded by Syed Asaduzzaman who will continue to serve as the chairman, passing on the legacy to Rashik, signifying a significant milestone in the company's journey.
